29 Apr The final 49ershive mock draft!
Well, this is it guys. Jed York is going bananas on Twitter. Aaron Rodgers rumors are flying, and we still don’t know what the hell is going on.
I’ll keep it short and sweet: Stewart and I are back with our final mock draft of the season. Enjoy!
Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence
Team cannot over think this draft pick. Lawrence is the future and finally brings hope to a desperate Jags franchise.
New York Jets: Zach Wilson
Zach Wilson will have some growing pains because the Jets are rebuilding, he will have a few weapons and hopefully he can show something to this suffering fan base.
San Francisco 49ers: Trey Lance
I think there’s a reason all of the chatter has been Lance the past week or so. National media attention has been very vocal about Lance, his character and intelligence. It makes too much sense. Shanahan is going to LOVE this kid.
Atlanta Falcons: Kyle Pitts
With Julio Jones on the trade block Atlanta builds around Pitts and Calvin Ridley. A freakish athlete with great hands, route running ability and size.
Cincinnati Bengals: Ja’Marr Chase
can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m buying into the media hype. The Bengals can get a quality OL in the 2nd round. Chase is a blue-chip, can’t miss WR prospect. Spark that old connection of Burrow-Chase.
Miami Dolphins: Jalen Waddle
Tua is at his best when he has receivers who can separate and Jalen Waddle will do that consistently. He brings speed, yards after catch and toughness to a solid Dolphins group of weapons.
Detroit Lions: Penei Sewell
Hardest team to project. I think the new HC Campbell wants to get mean, and that starts with Sewell. Goff is going to need all of the time in the world to throw, so they cannot pass on a blue-chip OL.
Carolina Panthers: Rashawn Slater
the Panthers could either address the need at Corner or protect Sam Darnold. Slater can play as a tackle or guard at a high level.
Denver Broncos: Justin Fields
Dream scenario for the Broncos. I can see them trading up for Fields sooner, but for now they’re spoiled. Allbright reported that they’d get a QB if the board falls like this, and I’d imagine that guy is Fields
Dallas Cowboys: Patrick Surtain III
Easiest pick in the draft after Trevor Lawrence, Patrick Surtain to the Cowboys. Their defense is absolutely horrendous and a reliable player like Surtain helps immediately.
New York Giants -> Chicago Bears: Mac Jones
TRADE! Chicago Bears come up to nab Mac Jones. They need their guy of the future, Dalton is a good place holder but he’s not the future. Get the guy and take a chance on Jones.
Philadelphia Eagles: Jaycee Horn
Jaycee Horn, the worse Cornerback group in the league gets a boost. A long, athletic and ultra aggressive man cover corner to play alongside Darrius Slay.
Los Angeles Chargers: Christian Darrisaw
Chargers are a team I think that could move up to Detroit’s spot and take Sewell. Either way, they’re going OL. Herbert needs a solid OL, and they get my personal favorite in Darrisaw.
Minnesota Vikings: Alijah Vera-Tucker
The Vikings continue to take swings at fixing their bad/average offensive line. Vera Tucker has 12 year reliable starter written all over him.
New England Patriots: K’Wity Paye
You know what? I think they go pass rush. Belichick likes his Michigan players. Paye needs some refining, but he feels like a BB type of player. Could be Greg Newsome territory, but pass rush first.
Arizona Cardinals: Devonta Smith
The Cardinals get to replace Larry Fitzgerald with a great prospect who has excellent route running ability and a playmaking machine.
:Las Vegas Raiders: Micah Parsons
They need to keep trying to get the defense fixed. Eventually, one of these guys will hit. Parsons his a phenom in the middle of the field, and can anchor in that spot for years to come.
Miami Dolphins: Zaven Collins
A big rangy linebacker with physicality and the ability to play all 3 downs. Brian Flores knows how to coach defense and the Dolphins are a scary proposition.
Washington Football Team: Jeremiah-Owusu Koramoah
A star LB is the missing piece to this already dynamic defense. Add JOK, and this is the best defense in the NFL.
New York Giants: Azeez Ojulari
The Giants need pass rushers and Ojulari may have some issues holding up in the run game but he can really rush the passer.
Indianapolis Colts: Jaelan Phillips
Colts just miss Ojulari here, but get the DE who may have the most upside in the entire class. Phillips needs time to grow, but his athletic ability is unmatched.
Tennessee Titans: Joe Tryon
I really believe the Titans want to find a partner for Harold Landry to help solve their pass rush issues, Tryon is the man.
New York Jets: Teven Jenkins
Simple: protect Zach Wilson. Jenkins is one of the most under rated linemen in the entire class.
Pittsburgh Steelers: Najee Harris
the Steelers love big physical running backs and with an aging Big Ben this pick gives them a legit power run game when teams take away their quick passing attack.
Jacksonville Jagurs: Landon Dickerson
His draft stock has been soaring this past week. I think, aside from the injury, Dickerson is the real deal. Keep Lawrence safe for years to come. Dickerson may be ANOTHER one of the most under rated linemen in the class.
Cleveland Browns: Gregory Rousseau
The Browns are my pick to make the AFC title game, yes its early but that’s how stacked this team is. Imagine what their defense which is has an abundance of good players can be if they bookend Rousseau and Myles Garrett.
Baltimore Ravens: Rashod Bateman
Even after signing Sammy Watkins, Lamar Jackson needs some more damn weapons. Adding Bateman will finally give Jackson the confidence he needs to let loose and throw.
New Orleans Saints: Elijah Moore
With Emmanuel Sanders gone the Saints have only two reliable wideouts, Moore will help take the pressure off Michael Thomas.
Green Bay Packers: Terrace Marshall Jr.
Lets just hope it isn’t too late to keep Aaron Rodgers. The Packers need a true running mate opposite Davante Adams, and Marshall is a solid-yet-under rated prospect who can win on all levels of the field. Rodgers is pissed off, so let’s try and make him happy with this pick.
Buffalo Bills: Travis Etienne
A home run hitter with receiving skills to help Josh Allen. You never want your Franchise QB leading the team in rushing unless you’re Lamar Jackson type of freakish. Etienne will add more juice to a loaded offense.
Baltimore Ravens: Liam Eichenberg
Ravens, after losing Yanda, Skura, Orlando Brown, etc., they need some OL help for their advanced running game. Eichenberg is technically sound and polished, a plug and play guy.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jayson Oweh
The Bucs need to build depth upfront and having young pass rushers to spell your premier guys is what good teams without holes do. Oweh is raw but time is on his side, pairing him with Todd Bowles should help his growth.
