Talking Fantasy: Who’s Hot?

Welcome, welcome, welcome to week nine everybody! It’s time to get your fantasy lineups ready, so let’s get started, shall we?

QBs:

Jordan Love (GB) – This one was tough for me because we should see a heavy dose of Aaron Jones running the ball. However with Devante Adams coming back, Love should be able to throw the ball with ease. Not to mention he faces a terrible KC defense against the pass.

Derek Carr (LV) – Carr has put up a 12:5 TD:Int ratio so far this year. He’s coming off a bye and going against a NYG team that has given up 15 passing TDs through eight weeks.

“Big” Ben Roethlisberger (PIT) – Ben hasn’t played up to the caliber level he has in the past. However, he’s facing a Chicago defense that’s 21st in DVOA this year.

RBs:

Boston Scott (PHI) – Scott scored twice last week in place of Miles Sanders and gets the start this week. He is looking at another good game by facing a LAC defense giving up 159 rushing yards, which ranks last in the NFL.

Myles Gaskin (MIA) – Gaskin has gotten at least 15 touches in back-to-back games, and now gets a Houston defense which ranks 31st in DVOA.

Elijah Mitchell (SF) – Mitchell only got 62 total yards last time out against AZ, but since Jimmy Garoppolo has come back he’s put together two straight 100 yard rushing games. With Deebo Samuel possibly out, Mitchell should see more touches as well.

WRs:

Hunter Renfrow (LV) – Hunter should instantly see more targets with the unfortunate events that happened with Henry Ruggs. He also faces a NYG defense that has given up double digit TDs and ranks 26th in the league.

Van Jefferson (LAR) – Jefferson sits behind Kupp and Woods on the depth chart, but he still averages 6 targets a game. Luckily he faces a Tennessee defense that gives up the second-most fantasy points to WRs.

Emmanuel Sanders (BUF) – Sanders is averaging 74 yards and a score in four of his five past games. Now he faces a Jacksonville defense that ranks last in pass DVOA.

TEs:

Pat Freiermuth (PIT) – Pat has quietly become a reliable TE in Pittsburgh and he’s facing a Chicago defense that is 21st in pass DVOA.

Albert Okwuegbunam (DEN) – Albert is most likely to get the start with Noah Fant being on the Covid-19 list. He could be a sleeper against Dallas who ranks 19th in fantasy points against TEs.

Tyler Conklin (MIN) – Conklin has nice TE appeal going against a Baltimore defense that’s given up five TDs to TEs this year and at least 91 yards in three of those games.

Flex:

Russell Gage (ATL) – Gage should continue to see more targets with Ridley on the Non Football Injury list for at least three more weeks. He’ll also be facing the NO defense giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to WRs.

Brandon Aiyuk (SF) – Aiyuk could see an uptick in targets if Deebo Samuel can’t go this weekend. Aiyuk also had his best game of the season last week and could be on an upward trend after he and Kyle Shanahan reportedly buried the hatchet.

Rondale Moore (AZ) – Moore hasn’t topped 30 yards in his last four games but he gets a 49ers defense that allowed him to get 97 yards in week five. With the possibility of not having DeAndre Hopkins, this will only help him to get more targets as well.

There it is folks. Another week in the books and another round of fantasy sleepers to help your roster dominate! Hope this helped, and as always, have fun and good luck with your leagues!
