Talking Fantasy: Who’s Hot?

Hello and welcome to week eight! It’s time for another edition of Fantasy Sleepers. Are you ready? OK, let’s go!

Jalen Hurts (PHI) – Hurts has scored twice in every game but one this year (credit the 49ers for that one). This week he gets a Detroit defense that is allowing 28 points per game, which ranks 25th in the league.

Trevor Lawrence (JAX) – Lawrence is coming off a week six performance with over 300 yards, plus he is also fully rested from a bye in week seven. Now, he gets a Seattle defense that is giving up 280 yards passing per game.

Kirk Cousins (MIN) – Cousins is coming off a thrashing of Carolina in week six with over 370 yards and three TDs. Now he faces a Dallas defense that has given up over 300 yards four times this season and allows over eight yards per pass.

Damien Harris (NE) – Harris has racked up 100 yards and a score in back to back games, and this week he gets a Chargers defense that ranks almost dead last in the run.

Devontae Booker (NYG) – Booker has scored in his last three games, and with Barkley still not healthy could get some more reps. He also faces a KC defense that has allowed 10+ rushing TDs this season.

Kenneth Gainwell (PHI) – Gainwell should gain well, (you like what I did there), against a Detroit defense that is giving up 120 rush yards per game.

Courtland Sutton (DEN) – Sutton has been great over the last few games and gets a Washington defense that ranks dead last in pass defense and passing TDs allowed.

Emmanuel Sanders (BUF) – Sanders is averaging 75 yards and a TD in four straight games. Now he gets a Miami defense that ranks 26th in the pass DVOA this season.

Michael Pittman Jr (IND) – Pittman should see an uptick in targets even if Hilton is healthy. He has been a reliable target and faces a Tennessee defense that is giving up the most catches and yards to WRs.

Tyler Higbee (LAR) – Higbee is only averaging around four to five catches a game, but he gets a Houston defense that should fail to stop any passing attack, allowing Stafford to air it out all day.

Tommy Sweeney (BUF) – Sweeney will get the start in replacement of the injured starter Dawson Knox. This could be a breakout opportunity in the making for Sweeney against Miami.

CJ Uzomah (CIN) – CJ has scored five times in the last four games and has a favorable matchup against the Jets defense that ranks 28th in pass DVOA.

Tee Higgins (CIN) – Higgins has yet to top 65 yards this year, but the Jets defense ranks 28th in DVOA against the pass. I like those odds.

James Robinson (JAX) – Robinson has scored five TDs in the past four games and now gets a Seattle defense that ranks 31st in the league in scrimmage yards per game.

Adam Thielen (MIN) – Thielen could see his targets increase this week due to the fact Diggs (DAL) should be matched up against Jefferson for most of the game. Thielen has five TDs on the season and should see more this week.
