11 Aug Roster updates

Kyle Shanahan in a recent presser revealed that there is no timetable on Jaquiski Tartt’s return while adding that Hurd didn’t feel 100% and his time to make an impact is slim. Could Jalen Hurd and Jaquiski Tartt be on their way out? 

Tartt, a 2015 second-round pick who in recent years has been unable to stay healthy a full season. The 49ers have plenty of depth at the safety position and might feel comfortable with some of the guys they brought in from the off-season like Tony Jefferson, Tavon Wilson, and then drafting Talanoa Hufanga (who recently put on a show with the first-team defense). Not to mention the recent signing of Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and the workout of Andrew Sendejo the 49ers are making sure to cover their bases.

Hurd, a 2019 third-round pick has been unable to step foot on the field for his first two seasons with Juan Jennings and Trent Sherfield making plays throughout camp the 3WR role could be filled between the two of them. There’s no doubt in the ability and playmaking prowess that Hurd possesses but the availability is a key part in keeping that role.
