49ers Clip the Cardinals 38-10

Wow, an absolutely astonishing victory from the 49ers last night. Beating the Arizona Cardinals by a whopping 38-10, the Red and Gold came out firing on all cylinders, as all three facets of the team (Offense, Defense, Special Teams) were executing superbly for 4 quarters.

Leading the charge was QB Jimmy Garoppolo, who tied a career high by passing for 4 TDs. Two of which went to both TE George Kittle and WR Brandon Aiyuk.

Yesterday’s game was arguably the best game of Jimmy G’s career. Passing with efficiency and solid accuracy, he put on an absolute clinic dismantling the Cardinals’ sub-par secondary.

Aside from Jimmy, the 49ers ground game was churning out yards and executing also. Not including Brock Purdy’s garbage time rushing totals (3 carries, 3 yards), the Red and Gold averaged almost 6 yards a carry, while totaling over 150 yards rushing. Leading the charge was Elijah Mitchell, who has been nothing short of electric since his return. He finished with 9 carries for 59 yards, while CMC rushed for 39 yards on 7 totes.

On the other side, the 49ers defense suffocated Colt McCoy and co., holding them to 10 total points, NONE of which were scored in the 2nd half. It is the third game in a row in which the 49ers defense has yet to give up points in the 2nd half. Outstanding coaching clinic from DeMeco Ryans.

The lone bright spot for the Cardinals was Deandre Hopkins, who was making work of Charvarius Ward and others in the early parts of the game. Finishing with 9 catches for 91 yards, it was another solid game for the star WR. Nonetheless however, the Cardinals offense couldn’t muster enough strength, as the SF defense continued their impressive defensive performance, as has been the case for the season.

With another divisional win in the books, the 49ers are officially in 1st place in the NFC West, and arguably heating up at the right time as the season slowly comes to a conclusion.

Next up: A home tilt against the stingy New Orleans Saints, coming off a win against the lowly LA Rams 27-20.
